Sunday walk to Skjennungstua and Ullevålseter between Frognerseteren and Sognsvann

524 meter above sea-level I reached the peak at Skjennungstua this Sunday. A beautiful Cottage open as a public cafe, and a goal for many trackers in Oslo marka surrounding the Norwegian Capital. Too many people were queuing up waiting to be served, so we continued into the beautiful forested and hilly areas between Frognerseteren and Sognsvann.
We started our tour at the top of Oslo, at Frognerseteren with the great view over the city and Bunnefjorden. A lovely Sunday walk along the skiing tracks used in the Holmenkollen Ski Festival.
Marka is great (301.1 km²) and despite being used frequently by many citizens of Oslo, especially in weekends, the fauna of Marka includes such species as lynx, beaver, moose and roe deer.
On our tour we stopped at Ullevålseter for a cup of hot chocolate and a Norwegian waffle with brown cheese.
A typical autumn Sunday in Oslo, lots of people in all generation strolling, jogging and biking.
